Yes, during consultations and planning discussions, which many patients find helpful for remembering the detail afterwards. During the procedure itself, your companion waits in the clinic's reception area rather than the treatment room.
Your companion needs their own visa and their own travel arrangements. If they are not travelling for medical treatment, the medical e-Visa category may not apply to them, they should confirm the appropriate visa category for their own trip.

How Can a Companion Actually Help During the Trip?
At consultations, on surgery day, through recovery, with day-to-day errands, and on open days, a companion supports you at each stage of the trip rather than just the procedure itself.
1. At consultations, sit in on the assessment and planning discussion, take notes, and help you weigh the plan.
2. On surgery day, accompany you to the clinic and wait nearby; help you back to your accommodation afterwards.
3. Through recovery, help with soft meals, medication timing, and getting to follow-up appointments.
4. Day-to-day, manage practical errands so you can rest in the days right after surgery.

Where Should My Companion and I Stay Near the Clinics?
Near whichever of our two Delhi locations, Greater Kailash (GK) or Netaji Subhash Place (NSP), holds your appointments. Confirm with your coordinator which location you are scheduled at before booking, so your companion is not commuting across the city on appointment days, and couples and families can choose accommodation that suits both of you for the length of the stay.

Sightseeing While You Recover
On the open days between appointments, a companion can explore Delhi or take short trips while you rest:
- In Delhi, Red Fort, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate, Connaught Place, and Chandni Chowk.
- Day trips, Agra and the Taj Mahal (around a 4-hour drive, or roughly 2 hours by train); Jaipur (around a 5-hour drive).
We suggest keeping the days immediately after surgery for rest, with sightseeing reserved for the settled open days once you feel comfortable.
