What Are Zygomatic Implants?
Zygomatic implants are longer implants (35–52.5mm) that anchor in the zygomatic bone (cheekbone) rather than the alveolar (jaw) bone — completely bypassing areas of severe bone loss.
Developed by Prof. Per-Ingvar Brånemark in 1988, this is now a well-documented protocol with 20+ years of clinical evidence and thousands of successful long-term cases.
Primary indication: severe maxillary (upper jaw) bone loss where conventional implants and bone grafting are not viable or desirable.
