Safety & Quality
20 questions
Is dental treatment in India safe?
At accredited hospitals, yes. Stunning Dentistry holds AAID, AACD, BACD, and ISO 9001:2015 accreditations. We use the same Straumann and Nobel Biocare implant systems as your Canadian clinic. Our protocols are identical. Our prices are not.
What accreditations does Stunning Dentistry have?
AAID (American Academy of Implant Dentistry), AACD (American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry), BACD (British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry), ISO 9001:2015, and NABH. All specialists hold MDS qualifications equivalent to Canadian Specialist Register.
Are the implant systems the same as Canada?
Yes. We exclusively use Straumann and Nobel Biocare implants — the same systems used by leading Canadian clinics. All materials are USFDA-approved and meet Canadian TGA standards.
How is sterilisation handled?
ISO 9001:2015 certified protocols. Pre-vacuum B-class autoclave with validated cycle documentation. 90+ single-use items per surgical procedure. HEPA-filtered air handling. Daily instrument audits with documented traceability.
What if I get an infection after returning home?
Our lifetime warranty covers all implant-related complications including infection. 24/7 WhatsApp support connects you with our team. We coordinate with your local Canadian dentist for any urgent care needed.
How many dentists will work on my case?
Every case is reviewed by a multi-specialist team: implantologist, prosthodontist, periodontist, and radiologist — all reviewing your 3D CBCT together. This collaborative approach catches issues a single dentist might miss.
What technology does the clinic use?
3D CBCT scanning, 3Shape TRIOS intraoral scanners, CEREC and Formlabs CAD/CAM milling, Digital Smile Design software, Modjaw motion analysis, surgical microscopes, conscious sedation suites, BiOlase Waterlase, ZOOM whitening, HEPA-filtered surgical operatories, and Class B autoclaves.
Is the clinic comparable to Canadian dental hospitals?
Stunning Dentistry runs two flagship Delhi clinics with 25+ super-specialists. Our equipment, sterilisation standards, and implant brands are identical to what you'd find at a top Canadian dental hospital. Forbes India has ranked us #1 for four consecutive years.
Who actually performs the surgery?
Dr. Priyank Sethi (BDS, MDS Conservative Dentistry & Micro Endodontics, PhD) leads complex cases. Sub-specialists handle their own disciplines: implantologists place implants, prosthodontists design teeth, periodontists handle gum work.
How experienced are the surgeons?
Our implant team places 1,200+ implants per year — more than the typical Canadian surgeon places in five years. Volume builds judgment. We see complications others have only read about, and we resolve them in-house.
What happens if there's a surgical complication?
Most complications are minor and managed during your stay. Serious complications (rare) are addressed by our multi-specialist team on-site. Our 924-case registry shows a Cat A (severe) rate of 8.7% — well within international benchmarks.
Is the water safe for rinsing post-surgery?
All clinic operatories use medical-grade purified water for rinsing and irrigation. For drinking and brushing during your stay, we recommend bottled mineral water — your patient coordinator arranges supply.
Do you reuse instruments?
Single-use disposables are used for everything that contacts blood (suction tips, drapes, syringes, etc.). Reusable instruments (mirrors, retractors) are sterilised between every patient using validated B-class autoclave cycles.
What about cross-infection risk?
Stunning Dentistry uses single-patient surgical kits. Operatories are HEPA-filtered. Air changes are documented per ISO 9001:2015. No instrument is re-used until autoclave validation passes the Bowie-Dick test.
Are there any reported deaths or major incidents?
No. We've treated 1000+ international patients across 17 years with zero mortality and zero major adverse events. Independent NABH audits review our records annually.
Are the doctors registered?
All clinical staff are registered with the Dental Council of India (DCI), the Indian equivalent of AHPRA. Specialist registrations are individual and verifiable on request.
Do specialists carry malpractice insurance?
Yes. All Stunning Dentistry specialists carry professional indemnity insurance. We also carry hospital-level liability insurance covering treatment events.
Are anaesthetists qualified?
Conscious sedation is administered by ABEM-certified anaesthetists. General anaesthesia (rare for dental) is administered in our partner hospital with full anaesthesia team.
What if I have a heart condition or take blood thinners?
Pre-treatment medical clearance is mandatory for any cardiac history, blood thinners, diabetes, or autoimmune conditions. We coordinate with your Canadian GP/cardiologist before treatment.
Can I see your registry data?
Yes. We publish a 924-case warranty registry with Cat A/B/C/D distribution. Available on request via your patient coordinator. Independent audit by NABH each year.
Costs & Pricing
25 questions
How much will I realistically save?
Most Canadian patients save 60-80% on treatment costs. After flights (on request return) and accommodation (on request/night), net savings range from on request to $55,000+ for full-mouth cases.
What's included in the quoted price?
All-inclusive pricing covers surgery, implants, temporary teeth, permanent prosthesis, all clinical visits during your trip, and follow-up care coordination. Excludes: international flights, accommodation, meals, and local transport in Canada.
Are there hidden costs?
No. We provide itemised CAD pricing upfront with Canadian comparisons. Additional procedures (bone grafting, sinus lift) are flagged at quote stage. Payment is structured: 25% deposit, 50% before surgery, 25% on completion.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Standard structure is deposit, pre-surgery balance, and final balance. For larger cases, extended payment terms are arranged. We do not charge interest.
Does Medicare or private health cover treatment?
Medicare does not cover dental implants. Private health insurance typically covers on request/year — less than 5% of Canadian implant treatment costs. Compassionate Release via the is an option for many patients.
Why is treatment so much cheaper in India?
Lower operational costs (rent, labour, overheads), not lower quality. We use the same Straumann implants — manufactured in Switzerland, same serial numbers, same warranty. The cost difference is geographic, not clinical.
How do I pay?
CAD bank transfers, major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), and international wire transfers. Pricing is quoted in CAD for transparency. Currency conversion at the prevailing rate. No hidden FX fees from us.
How much does a single dental implant cost?
on request at Stunning Dentistry vs on request at a typical Canadian clinic. The Stunning quote includes the implant fixture, abutment, and zirconia or e.max crown. The Canadian quote often does not.
How much does All-on-4 cost?
on request per arch at Stunning Dentistry. on request per arch at Canadian clinics. Both arches: on request vs on request. Stunning's price is all-inclusive.
How much does All-on-6 cost?
on request per arch. The extra two implants (vs All-on-4) add stability for patients with thicker bone structure or heavier bite force. Canadian comparison: on request per arch.
How much do zygomatic implants cost?
on request per implant. Most zygomatic cases use 2-4 implants per arch combined with conventional implants. Canadian zygomatic packages start at on request per arch.
How much do veneers cost per tooth?
on request per tooth (zirconia, ceramic, or e.max). Canadian comparable: on request per tooth. Most smile-design cases use 12-20 veneers.
How much does Digital Smile Design cost?
on request for 12 ceramic veneers (6 upper + 6 lower). Includes 3D CBCT, photographic mock-up, mock-up wear-test, and final case. Canadian comparable: on request.
Does the price include the temporary teeth?
Yes. Same-day temporary teeth are included in every implant package. They are functional, aesthetic, and worn during the 4-6 month osseointegration period before final zirconia is fitted.
Does the price include the permanent prosthesis?
Yes. Final monolithic zirconia or layered zirconia prosthesis is included. Either delivered before you leave (for cases that osseointegrate quickly) or couriered to your Canadian dentist.
Does the price include CBCT and X-rays?
Yes. 3D CBCT scan, panoramic X-ray, intraoral photographs, and Digital Smile Design preview are included as part of treatment planning. No separate radiology bill.
Does the price include consultations?
Yes. Pre-treatment video consultations (free), in-clinic assessment, treatment planning meeting, surgery, recovery follow-ups, and post-departure remote check-ins are all included.
Are pre-treatment medical tests included?
Standard dental pre-op (CBCT, blood pressure, blood sugar) is included. If we require advanced cardiac/metabolic clearance from your GP, that's organised with your Canadian doctor and billed separately by them.
Is the cost of medication included?
All in-clinic medication (anaesthesia, sedation, antibiotics during surgery) is included. Take-home prescriptions for a week of post-op care are included. Continuing medication you might need (e.g., for chronic conditions) is your responsibility.
What if I need additional treatment mid-trip?
If your CBCT reveals a previously-undiagnosed issue (e.g., cyst, additional decay), we present options and pricing in writing before proceeding. Nothing is added without your sign-off.
How does pricing compare to Bali, Thailand, Turkey?
Stunning Dentistry's per-implant cost is comparable to Bali and Thailand, lower than Turkey. The differentiator is materials (Straumann/Nobel only), specialist depth (25+ super-specialists), and our 924-case warranty registry.
Is the cheapest option always the best?
No. The lowest-priced packages typically use unbranded implants, plastic prosthetics, or cut corners on sterilisation. Our pricing sits in the middle of medical-tourism options because we use top-tier materials.
Do you charge per implant or per arch?
Both pricing models are available. Per-implant works for single replacements. Per-arch (All-on-4 / All-on-6 / All-on-8) is fixed-package pricing for full-arch restoration regardless of implant count needed.
Can I get an exact quote without travelling?
Yes. Send your panoramic X-ray or CBCT to our team. Within 48 hours you receive a written treatment plan with itemised CAD pricing and timeline. No obligation, no fee.
Do you offer a price-match guarantee?
We don't price-match Canadian clinics — the gap is too large. We guarantee transparent, all-inclusive pricing with no hidden costs. Your written quote is your final price.
Treatment & Clinical
30 questions
How many trips do I need?
Most full-mouth cases are completed in a single 7-10 day trip. Some complex cases benefit from a short second visit of 3-5 days after 4-6 months healing. Decided during your free clinical evaluation.
How many days will I spend in the clinic?
Day 1: Rest. Day 2: Assessment, CBCT, Digital Smile Design. Day 3: Surgery + temporary teeth. Days 4-7: Recovery (clinic 10 min from hotel). Days 8-9: Follow-up. Day 10: Travel clearance.
Can I fly on day 10?
Yes. By day 10, you have temporary teeth and clearance to travel. Avoid strenuous activity for 2 weeks. Soft-food diet for the first 2-4 weeks. Your temporary prosthesis is designed for normal function.
When do I get my final permanent teeth?
Either before your departure (for cases that osseointegrate quickly) or couriered to your Canadian dentist after 4-6 months of osseointegration. Comfortable temporary teeth in place throughout.
What if I have severe bone loss?
Multiple solutions: bone grafting (adds 3-4 weeks), zygomatic implants (avoids grafting), pterygoid implants. Dr. Priyank Sethi specialises in complex cases. Free evaluation identifies the right option.
Is the procedure painful?
Conscious sedation eliminates intra-operative pain. Most patients report mild discomfort for 2-3 days post-op, managed with standard painkillers. Many patients stop medication after day one.
Can you fix failed implants from another clinic?
Yes. We regularly treat patients whose implants failed elsewhere — Canada or other overseas clinics. We assess via CBCT, remove failed implants if needed, and design a revision plan.
What if I need a root canal or extraction too?
All pre-implant work (extractions, root canals, gum treatment) is handled in-house by our specialists. Factored into your treatment plan and timeline from the start. No referrals.
What's the difference between All-on-4 and All-on-6?
All-on-4 uses 4 implants per arch — efficient and well-documented (since 1998). All-on-6 uses 6 implants for cases with heavier bite forces, parafunction (grinding), or thicker bone. Stunning Dentistry recommends based on your CBCT.
What's the difference between zirconia and acrylic prosthesis?
Zirconia: ceramic, tooth-coloured, stain-resistant, lasts 10+ years. Acrylic: lower-cost interim, used as the temporary teeth during osseointegration. Stunning's All-on-4 includes monolithic zirconia as the final prosthesis, not acrylic.
What's the difference between Straumann and Nobel Biocare?
Both are top-tier Swiss/Swedish implant brands with comparable success rates (>97% at 10 years). Straumann uses titanium-zirconium with SLActive surface; Nobel Biocare uses titanium with TiUnite surface. Choice depends on bone quality and surgical preference.
Can I have the same teeth I lost?
Tooth-shape, shade, and proportion are matched to your facial structure via Digital Smile Design. We can replicate the exact look of natural teeth or design an upgraded smile. Mock-up is shown before final fabrication.
What if I don't like the temporary teeth?
Temporaries are adjustable. We refine shade, shape, and tooth proportion based on your feedback during your stay. The final zirconia prosthesis is fabricated only after you approve the temporary.
Can I eat normally with implants?
After full osseointegration (4-6 months), yes. You can eat steaks, apples, nuts — anything natural teeth handle. During the first 4 weeks, soft foods are recommended to protect healing implants.
Will my speech change?
Temporarily, yes. The first week with new teeth, slight lisping or word-shape adjustments are common. Almost all patients report fully normal speech by week 2-3.
Will the implants set off airport scanners?
No. Modern dental implants are titanium and do not trigger airport metal detectors or millimetre-wave scanners. We provide an implant card for your records — useful for medical settings (MRI compatibility).
Can I have an MRI with implants?
Yes. Titanium dental implants are MRI-safe. They produce minor local artefacts on facial MRI but do not contraindicate the scan. Always inform the radiographer.
Will the implants need replacing?
A successfully osseointegrated implant lasts decades — often a lifetime. The prosthetic crown/bridge sitting on top wears down over 10-20 years and may need replacement. The implant fixture itself rarely needs replacement.
What's the success rate at 10 years?
Straumann and Nobel Biocare implants show >97% survival at 10 years in published literature. Our internal 924-case registry tracks comparable outcomes — verified annually by NABH audit.
Can teenagers get implants?
Generally not. Jaw growth must be complete (typically age 18-21). Younger patients use orthodontics or temporary solutions until skeletal maturity. Pre-treatment CBCT and growth assessment confirm readiness.
Can elderly patients get implants?
Yes. Age alone is not a contraindication. Heart conditions, blood thinners, diabetes, and bone density are factors — all assessed in pre-treatment medical clearance.
Are there any conditions that disqualify me?
Active cancer treatment, uncontrolled diabetes, recent cardiac events (within 6 months), bisphosphonate therapy (some forms), and active untreated periodontal disease may delay or modify treatment. Pre-treatment evaluation confirms suitability.
What if I'm a smoker?
Smoking reduces implant success rates by 5-10%. We strongly encourage quitting 2 weeks before surgery and not resuming until osseointegration is complete (4-6 months). Smokers are still treated; outcomes are simply slightly less predictable.
What about diabetes?
Well-controlled diabetes (HbA1c <7%) is not a contraindication. Uncontrolled diabetes (HbA1c >8%) significantly impairs healing. We require recent HbA1c results from your Canadian GP before treatment.
What if I grind my teeth (bruxism)?
Bruxism is managed with a custom night-guard included in your treatment plan. Heavy bruxers may benefit from All-on-6 (over All-on-4) for additional implant support. Botox is also offered for masseter management.
Will I need bone grafting?
Maybe. Many patients have lost bone after years of missing teeth. We assess bone volume on CBCT. If insufficient, options are: graft (adds 3-4 weeks healing), zygomatic implants (no graft needed), or shorter implants.
What's a sinus lift?
When upper-back teeth are missing, the maxillary sinus often expands downward, leaving insufficient bone for implants. A sinus lift adds bone graft material below the sinus floor to allow standard implant placement.
What's guided surgery?
A 3D-printed surgical guide based on CBCT data, ensuring implants are placed within 0.5mm of plan. Reduces surgery time, increases predictability, and is included in every Stunning Dentistry implant case.
What's CBCT and why do I need one?
Cone-Beam CT — a 3D dental scan with low radiation. It maps your bone, nerves, sinuses, and existing teeth, allowing accurate implant placement. Mandatory for every implant case at Stunning.
What sedation options are available?
Local anaesthesia (standard for single implants), oral conscious sedation (most full-arch cases), IV conscious sedation (anxious patients or longer cases), and general anaesthesia in our partner hospital (rare, for medical reasons).

Indian cuisine is varied. Continental, Italian, and pan-Asian options are available throughout South Delhi. Post-surgery soft-food choices include dal, soup, idli, scrambled eggs, and pasta. Coordinator provides restaurant recommendations.
Will I be able to handle the heat?
Most Canadian patients find New Delhi heat manageable in October-March. April-September is hot — recovery in air-conditioned hotel and clinic is comfortable. Walking outdoors is limited to morning/evening.
Do I need vaccinations?
Routine vaccinations (tetanus, hep A, hep B, typhoid) are recommended for any India travel. Consult your Canadian GP 4-6 weeks before travel. Yellow fever certificate required only if arriving from a yellow-fever country.
What about travel insurance?
Standard travel insurance is recommended for trip cancellation and medical emergencies. Note: most travel insurance excludes elective dental treatment, but covers unrelated health emergencies during your trip.
Can I take time off work?
Most full-mouth patients book 2 weeks off (10-14 days). Single-implant patients can manage with 1 week. Patient coordinators provide medical-leave letters if your Canadian employer requires documentation.
How far in advance should I book?
Standard booking is 6-8 weeks ahead. Allows time for visa, e-visa, flights, and any pre-treatment Canadian medical clearance. Urgent cases (in-pain) can be accommodated within 2 weeks.
What flights are available from Canada?
Direct flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, and Brisbane to New Delhi (DEL) operated by Air India, Qantas, Singapore Airlines, and others. Travel time 13-15 hours. Common cost on request return economy.
Should I fly business class for recovery?
Optional. Business class adds on request each way. Most patients fly economy and prioritise the saving. Window seat with neck pillow and noise-cancelling headphones generally suffices.
Are there direct flights to Delhi from regional Canada?
Direct from major cities only. Regional Canadian patients typically connect via Sydney, Melbourne, or Singapore. Patient coordinator assists with itinerary suggestions.
Will jet lag affect my treatment?
Day 1 is reserved for rest precisely for jet-lag recovery. Treatment day (Day 3) is timed to align with your local rhythm. Most patients adapt within 48-72 hours.
Can I extend my stay for tourism?
Yes. Visa is valid for 180 days. Many patients combine treatment with travel: Agra (Taj Mahal), Jaipur, Goa, Kerala. Patient coordinator helps plan post-treatment travel that's compatible with your healing timeline.

What's a hygienist visit cost in Canada after treatment?
on request per cleaning at standard Canadian rates. Recommended every 6 months. Hygiene appointments are claimable on private health insurance (extras cover) up to your annual limit.
Can my Canadian dentist remove my prosthesis?
Yes. We provide retrieval instructions and prosthetic torque values. Canadian dentists familiar with Straumann or Nobel Biocare prosthetics can remove and re-attach the prosthesis for cleaning or repair.
What if a tooth chips on my prosthesis?
Minor chips are repaired in-clinic by your Canadian dentist using composite. Larger fractures or crown failures: we courier a replacement, your Canadian dentist installs. Both options covered by warranty.
How long does the prosthesis last?
Monolithic zirconia: 15-20+ years. Layered zirconia: 10-15 years (the layered ceramic is the wear surface). PMMA temporary: 1-2 years (already replaced by zirconia in your final case).
Can the prosthesis be remade in different shade?
Yes. After osseointegration is complete and prosthesis is stable, shade adjustment is possible — typically as part of a planned upgrade visit, charged at material cost only.
What's the warranty on the abutment?
Lifetime — same as the implant fixture. Abutment is the connector between implant and crown. Replacement at no cost if it fails or fractures.
What if I break a temporary tooth before final fitting?
Contact your patient coordinator immediately. We courier a replacement temporary or arrange for a local dentist to print a same-day temporary based on your STL files (we share these securely).
Are night guards included?
Custom night guards are included for All-on-4 / All-on-6 / All-on-8 patients. Strongly recommended to protect prosthetic from grinding wear. Replacement night guards available at cost.
How is osseointegration confirmed?
At 4-6 months post-surgery, your Canadian dentist takes a periapical X-ray and tests implant stability with a torque wrench (35 Ncm minimum). Confirmation triggers final prosthesis fit.
What's an ISQ test?
Implant Stability Quotient — measured with a Resonance Frequency Analysis device (Osstell). Numbers above 70 indicate strong osseointegration. We perform ISQ at the time of implant placement and at osseointegration check.
Will I always need antibiotics around dental visits?
For routine cleanings, no. Antibiotic prophylaxis is required only for patients with specific cardiac conditions, prosthetic joint replacements, or immune compromise — discussed with your Canadian dentist.
