Materials & Quality

6 questions

Myth: Indian clinics use cheap, unbranded implants.

Reality: Stunning Dentistry exclusively uses Straumann (Switzerland) and Nobel Biocare (Sweden/USA) — the same fixtures used in top Canadian clinics. Each implant has a serial number traceable to manufacturer. Authorised distributor records on request.

Myth: The materials are USFDA-approved on paper, not actually.

Reality: Implants, abutments, and ceramics carry USFDA, CE, and TGA documentation. Manufacturer certificates of analysis are kept per case and provided to your Canadian dentist with handover.

Myth: Cheap means cut corners on sterilisation.

Reality: Stunning Dentistry holds ISO 9001:2015 certification. B-class autoclaves with documented validation cycles. 90+ single-use disposables per surgical procedure. Daily Bowie-Dick tests.

Myth: The lab work is outsourced overseas.

Reality: Stunning Dentistry has an in-house dental lab. Same-day CAD/CAM milling on CEREC and Formlabs. Dentist-technician communication is direct, not through couriers.

Myth: Indian zirconia is lower quality than Western zirconia.

Reality: We use Lava 3M, Vita YZ, and Zirkonzahn zirconia — same brands used in Western labs. Material grade and milling tolerance are identical. The only difference is geographic price.

Myth: 'You get what you pay for.'

Reality: Sometimes — for unbranded clinics anywhere. Not at Stunning. We pay the same Straumann implant cost as your Canadian clinic. The difference is wages, rent, and overhead, not material grade.

Pricing & Trust

6 questions

Myth: If it's that cheap, there must be hidden costs.

Reality: Stunning Dentistry quotes are itemised, written, and binding. Payment is structured: deposit, pre-surgery balance, completion. No surprise add-ons. CBCT, surgery, all visits, temporary teeth, final prosthesis included.

Myth: They'll lure me with a low price, then upsell on arrival.

Reality: We don't operate that way. Any change to plan (e.g., a previously-undiagnosed cyst or graft requirement) is presented in writing with new pricing — and you can decline. Most patients pay exactly what was quoted.

Myth: Currency conversion fees will eat my savings.

Reality: Pricing is quoted directly in CAD. Bank-transfer FX is at market rates. Even in worst-case 2% conversion margin, you save on request+ on full-mouth cases — currency math doesn't change the picture.

Myth: Dental tourism is too good to be true.

Reality: It's a logistics arbitrage, not a quality compromise. The same materials, the same brands, performed by specialist surgeons — for 60-80% less because of geographic operating costs. Audit the materials, not the price.

Myth: There's no warranty for overseas treatment.

Reality: Stunning Dentistry's lifetime warranty covers implants and prosthetics — replacement at no cost regardless of where the failure occurs (Canada or India). Coordinated with your local Canadian dentist.

Myth: My insurance won't cover anything.

Reality: Canadian private health insurance pays on request/year toward major dental — claim what you have, it offsets some out-of-pocket cost. Compassionate Release via the is also available for many patients.

Safety & Outcomes

7 questions

Myth: India is unsafe for medical procedures.

Reality: India treats 700,000+ international medical-tourism patients per year. Top dental and medical hospitals operate at international accreditation standards. The relevant question is which clinic, not which country.

Myth: I won't get the same level of clinical care.

Reality: Stunning Dentistry's clinical team includes 25+ super-specialists. Each case is reviewed by implantologist + prosthodontist + periodontist + radiologist. Canadian dental work typically involves 1 dentist.

Myth: Indian doctors aren't as well-trained.

Reality: Indian MDS specialists complete 5+ years post-graduate training (BDS + MDS pathway). Stunning Dentistry's specialists hold AAID, AACD, BACD international fellowships. Multiple PhDs and international research publications.

Myth: There won't be follow-up after I return home.

Reality: 24/7 WhatsApp support. Day 7, Day 30, Month 3 case-manager check-ins. Video reviews. Canadian dentist receives complete clinical file within 24 hours. Lifetime warranty held by Stunning Dentistry directly.

Myth: Failed implants happen more often overseas.

Reality: Implant failure rates depend on patient health, smoking, and bone quality — not country of placement. Stunning Dentistry's published 924-case registry shows Cat A (severe) at 8.7% — within international benchmarks (8-12%).

Myth: I'll need to fly back if anything goes wrong.

Reality: 95% of post-treatment concerns are handled by your Canadian dentist using the records we provide, plus remote video consultation with our team. Return trip only for major revisions — extremely rare.

Myth: Without local follow-ups, I'll be on my own.

Reality: Stunning Dentistry's case-manager system provides scheduled check-ins for the first year. Direct Dr. Sethi consultations available via WhatsApp/Zoom for any clinical question.

Process & Practicalities

6 questions

Myth: Same-day teeth means it's all temporary fast work.

Reality: Same-day teeth are well-fitted temporary acrylic/PMMA prosthetics designed to function during the 4-6 month osseointegration period. Final zirconia is fabricated and fitted later — to clinical standards no different from staged-protocol cases.

Myth: I'll lose 2-3 weeks of work.

Reality: Most patients book 10-14 days off — including travel. Standard cases proceed on Day 3, with Day 10 departure clearance. Many patients work remotely from the hotel during recovery days.

Myth: I'll be in pain for weeks.

Reality: Most patients report mild discomfort for 2-3 days, managed with standard painkillers. By Day 4-5, most patients feel close to normal. Long-term implant pain is uncommon and addressed if it occurs.

Myth: I won't be able to eat normally for months.

Reality: Soft food for first 2-4 weeks; pasta, soup, eggs, fish are fine from Day 7. Normal diet by Week 4-6. Hard/crunchy foods (apples, nuts) from Week 4 onwards.

Myth: My speech will be permanently affected.

Reality: Temporary speech adjustments (mild lisp, word-shape) for first 1-2 weeks while you adapt to new teeth. Permanent speech impact is rare and usually correctable with prosthetic adjustment.

Myth: My final teeth will look fake.

Reality: Digital Smile Design previews your final smile before fabrication. Tooth shape, shade, proportion, and gum-line are all customised. You approve mock-ups before any tooth is touched. Most patients describe outcomes as 'natural'.

After Treatment

6 questions

Myth: Implants need replacing every 5-10 years.

Reality: Implant fixture lasts 20+ years (often a lifetime). The crown/bridge on top wears over 15-20 years and may need replacement. Most patients keep the same fixtures for life.

Myth: My Canadian dentist won't touch overseas work.

Reality: Increasingly, Canadian dentists routinely service Stunning Dentistry patients. We provide full clinical files, prosthetic specs, and direct WhatsApp consultation with Dr. Sethi if needed. Most local hygiene visits are unaffected.

Myth: Implants set off airport security.

Reality: No. Modern dental implants are titanium and do not trigger metal detectors or millimetre-wave scanners. We provide an implant card for medical settings (MRI compatibility).

Myth: I can never get an MRI again.

Reality: Titanium dental implants are MRI-safe. They produce minor local artefacts on facial MRIs but do not contraindicate the scan. Inform the radiographer.

Myth: I'll need expensive special toothpaste forever.

Reality: Standard fluoride toothpaste, soft-bristle brush, daily flossing/interdental brushes. Annual professional cleaning at your Canadian dentist. Same hygiene as natural teeth.

Myth: I'll keep needing to fly to India for maintenance.

Reality: For 95% of routine care, no. Canadian dentist handles cleanings, X-rays, minor adjustments. Return Delhi visits only for major revisions — extremely rare.
